Can’t Update Page Status, Can’t Erase Page, Can’t Update Content Either!

    I have a self hosted installation of WP v3.0.1 – I haven’t added any plugins recently and haven’t made any changes… which is why this problem is very odd.

    Anyways, I tried adding a page to my blog but I needed to update another page which was already published based on the new page I added. I went to the old “published page” I needed to update and when I entered the new info and clicked on “Publish” nothing happened, the new info I entered disappeared and the page was not updated.

    I tried changing the status of the page from published to “Draft” and then back to “published” again to see if I could update the page content after a status change but now I can’t change the status of the page to “published” .. it keeps showing up as “draft”

    When I click on “edit” next to “status” I see a drop down with 2 options:

    Pending Review
    Draft

    There is no way for me to change this to published back again. I tried clicking on the big obvious “Publish” button which is supposed to change the status of the page from draft to published but this doesn’t change the status nor does it update the page content when I add the modified info.

    I HAVE:

    Cleared my cookies/cache because I thought it was a problem related to that, nothing helped. I have tried with Firefox, IE, Chrome … nothing!

    I am at my wits end here, I don’t know whats wrong! This is extremely frustrating…
