cant update the image slug

    Hi All.

    I have numerous photos uploaded to my media.

    Some of these have been added into the web pages.

    when I first started uploading images form my computer onto the media, I didn’t bother changing the image titles. I just left them at what ever they were, thinking I would change them later.

    So presently, when an image gets clicked on on my website, the URL reads lots of nonsense eg imageonholidaydecember2012

    Thats just an example.

    Looking it up, I was led to believe that if I followed:

    media; image; edit more details; screen options

    and then added a new Slug and ensured the Slug button was enabled..

    that this would mean that when the image was clicked on the website, it would then display the desired slug in the address bar.

    Am I missing a trick?

    I don’t really want to delete each photo, rename on computer and the re-upload!

    Can’t I just rename it so the address bar reads something better?
