Cant upload an image to a post

Add topic to favorites
I currently have been trying to upload an image to my post and nothing works. I keep getting an error message that reads “Unable to create directory D:directory/siteInformation/. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” I have already contacted our host to let them know about the problem. I have also looked into the permission settings for folders. I cant figure out where the problem is. Can someone please help?!

Sounds like you are self-hosted so you are in the wrong forum. This forum is for blogs hosted at wordpress.COM and we use different software here. Head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support

OK, but I have this problem too. I can get teh PDF into my “media” when I upload it from my computer, but I can’t get it from being in my media to showing up on my blog! The only thing it will do is show a little link to it, but I want it posted like a picture.

I don’t think PDFs work that way.

They sure don’t. If you want a picture, you must upload an image file (such as a jpg); PDFs are not image files.

When trying to insert an image into my post I notice the INSERT IMAGE INTO POST button is disabled on the bottom of page where you enter the image url and source.
Why is that?
