Can't upload custom ground-up theme!

  I have search EVERYWHERE for how to upload my own theme that I built from scratch. Everyone refers to an ‘upload’ button at the ‘Appearance’ tab. There is no upload button! I’ve found at least one other person in the forums asking this same question – without receiving ANY answers! It is absolutely MADDENING when everything tells you to use an upload button THAT DOESN’T EXIST to install your theme!
