can’t upload .flv’s
-
Hiya-
So I havn’t posted in a while and believe I may be missing something. I’m trying to upload a .flv file for a post and apparently WordPress doesn’t like it. It keeps saying that the file doesn’t meet security gudielines. All the video on my site is .flv and the video I’m trying to upload was encoded with the same process. What gives? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is your site? We need a link, starting with http. We also need to know what upgrades, if any, you have.

See this support document for the allowed file types without the space upgrade, with the space upgrade, and with the videopress upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/ .

The above is for blogs hosted here at wordpress.COM.
@gordgraph, sorry but you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.
If you do not know the difference, see this support document: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .
