Can’t upload images: “You do not have permission to upload images”

  Hi friends,

  I’m having a problem uploading images to posts. Every time I click the add media button for photos, I simply get a screen that says that “You do not have permission to upload images” or something along those lines.

  I know I’m a contributor (and not the author) of the WP, but the author (my friend) wants to know what he should do on his end to allow me to be authorized to upload pictures. As of right now I just have to leave all my posts saved and pending review, and he has to go and manually add the images himself.

  Is it something on his end of the settings that he has to change? Or is it something on mine? Maybe I’m just completely off and I’m an idiot?

  Please let me know, any help would be appreciated.
