I’m getting an error message in a post I’m writing and trying to insert photos. I inserted one photo and on trying to upload the second one I get an error message that says I’ve reached my upload quota!! What’s the problem?

In your dashboard, go to media > library and right near the top it will show how much of your 3GB of free space you have used.
Clicking on one image in your latest post, I see you are uploading full-sized images directly out of your camera. The one I checked is 3648 x 2064px, 480DPI and 1.6MB in file size. That will eat up your free space in a hurry and is not a good thing to do on the web. You always want to optimize your images for the web before uploading them.
1. Images should be 72dpi (that is the web standard)
2. Images should be 1000px wide at most (my opinion)
3. Image file size should be around 100k each (preferably 50k to 75k each)If you have used up your free space: Unless you want to delete all of your images and upload all new ones optimized for the web and then delete all the images from all your existing posts and pages and then reinsert the optimized images, you will probably want to look into one of the space upgrades and then from this point forward, optimize your images before uploading them.
