Whenever I try to upload my music files (in .mp3 format) using the new feature, i get the following message,
“File type does not meet security guidelines. Try another”
Why is this happening? HELP!

You can only upload audio files and such if you have paid for the space upgrade. That is part of what you get with the space upgrade, the ability to upload additional file types.
The 3GB free upgrade still has the same file type limits as it did before the upgrade.

I have paid for the space upgrade and could upload mp3 files 2 weeks ago. Now when I try I work through downloading the file and then when I try to send it to the blog entry I get a blank pop up window and nothing happens. Any ideas?
-
With the blank popup window up, right click on it and select refresh, reload, or reload frame (whatever your browser calls it) and the window will reload and have the stuff in it.
-
tried right click and hitting reload. Page reloaded, white box disappeared and there is still no mp3 in the post. other ideas?
-
Did you click to get the window again? What happened then? You have to right click on the pop-up itself, not the rest of the page you’re looking at.

after the page reloaded and the white box went away, I tried to re-do everything from the beginning. I got a IO error message when I tried to up load the file. What’s going on?

Looks like you need to update Flash, in accordance with the sticky thread at the top of the forums. Here’s another thread on the IO error:

I already had the most recent version of flash but I went ahead and uninstalled and then reinstalled it. still having same problem.
