can’t upload photo to save my life!

I am trying to learn to blog. It is not going well. I am frustrated because when I try to add a photo to my post i am not given a thumbnail option and the pictures end up roughly the size of TEXAS. Is there hope for the inept new blogger to succeed??

Hi Rockytopmom, (is that also your blog url? > you can place your blog url in your forum profile – top right)
You can resize your photo once you’ve uploaded it to your post. Drag in the sides and corners, etc. You can get it to even smaller than a city in Texas :)

Mole Hills of progress!! I managed to get two count em 2 pictures on to my post. I think i have a whole lot to learn about this blog business. Thanks for your help and when I figure out exactly HOW to get a cute little picture to direct you to my blog you can check my meager progress! HA HA

Use the Faq’s, they’re extremely helpful in getting things figured out. The forums will still be here when you’re desperate! Have fun :)

Photos can be resized using photoshop or other forms of image assistance. Before you upload an image to WP make sure you maximize the size of that image so it doesn’t end up being so big.

Thanks dissfunktional! That totally worked! I did check out the FAQs first, which were really helpful in getting pictures uploaded in the first place.
