can’t upload photos onto a blog

I keep getting the phrase additional plugins are necessary to display media on this page. Photos won’t upload in ie or firefox. I don’t understand how to grab photos and do it with the tree. I tried to do this but gave up after two hours. help for a newbie please.

I think you need to be over at WordPress.org; our software is a bit different and we don’t use plugins for example.
