Can't Upload Photos or Update

  Hello. I have a personal blog and have never had issues uploading photos to it till 2 days ago. I tried to uploaded regular photos and it says failed to write file to disk. Also I click update WordPress and update plugins and that also fails to do so. I’ve never had these issues but those functions aren’t working. I have super limited computer skills so can someone really break it down for me.

  It sounds like you have a self hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org are explained here:
