Can’t upload photos to blog post

  Hello, WordPress is not letting me upload photos to my blog post. When I click ‘add media,’ none of my previously uploaded pictures come up and when I browse for a new photo to add, it never adds because it nevers stops ‘smushing in progress. Please help! Thanks.
