Can’t Upload Videos
-
Am I the only one who’s having problems uploading videos?? For the whole last day, every time that I try to upload a video, it turns out to be “zero assets.” I’m very, very puzzled….
-
What about our dearly beloved VodPod system? It usually perform miracles when it comes to embedding and displaying all sorts of videos, slideshows, games, documents in posts, pages and widgets…
-
disembedded, we already had this discussion in this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=23827&replies=7
Posting again only makes it more difficult to manage the discussion. -
I asked again, dear Isadora, because after I replied to your request for more information, you did not have the common courtesy to respond.
-
But why not solve the problem by uploading the video to some host site? Since VodPod recently expanded the number of features we can embed all sorts of videos from all sorts of hosts. Not just in widgets. Now pages and posts are included.
It really is a shame that all these new features from Vod:Pod have not been properly announced on WordPress.com.

Thanks for the tip. But that doesn’t really solve this particular problem. I appreciate having more control over what I embed. Plus, I’ve paid WP quite a bit for the extra upload space. By the way, I still have the problem, and in response to my two requests to support for help today….nothing…silence…

I’m wondering if it’s related to the ongoing Bell Canada issue. You’re pretty close to the border, so maybe you’re being routed through some of their network? I know I, myself, am not going to attempt to post anything at all until this is settled.
-
Universalgeni–“zero assets” means there’s a nice picture of the video upload, but no actual video…it’s empty.
Hi raincoaster,
Thanks for your responses. I don’t think it’s the Bell Canada issue. I’m Chicago Comcast, and all of this just started three days ago.
-
I’m at the other end of the continent, on Shaw Cable, and I’ve had rotating problems that staff say are unquestionably Bell Canada-related. And the timing is right, actually.
-
Well, some proxy servers could be routed via Bell Canada also. But testing 2 or 3 might help?
