Can't upload Visual Composer
-
Hi there,
I’m trying to upload Visual Composer to my clients WordPress site but I keep getting this error message: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

Hi Stu,
Could you please provide a link to the site in question?
If it is a WordPress.com site, you will need a Business Plan to upload a custom theme.
See here:

Hi and thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
The site is currently turned off for public use as we’re using it to test and build a mock up before we build the full version.
If it helps, the url is https://sandbox.egnyte.bcg.com
However I’m unsure if you will be able to see it?
Let me know if you need any more info?
Many thanks,
Stu

Hi @stubailey180917,
I’m not able to open the link you posted above – can you check it and make sure it’s the correct URL?
Are you building a self-hosted site using the files downloaded from https://wordpress.org/? If so, WordPress.org has its own support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll have better luck getting your issue resolved.
You can read about the differences between WordPress.com, the hosted version of WordPress, and WordPress.org, the version you download and install yourself, here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If we can help further, please come back to this thread.

Hi Jesscga,
That’s fantastic!!! Yes it is a self-hosted site.
Thank you so much for helping :)
