Can’t upload wp image in builder

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to upload images in builder and my WP gallery isn’t showing up. I then click upload and it allows me to select the image (I have tried many different ones) the photo will show up in the upload box with the blue loading line. It also has the uploading 1 file box in the bottom which says ‘uploading 1 file’. The files are jpg not too large. I have been able to rule out plugins and theme. I also changed my WP content folder from 755 to 744 nothing and then back to 755. I need help and I’m getting so frustrated because it has become so so time consuming. I have tried every option that I can find online and I am still not having any luck. I hate messing with the files I am not familiar with any of it and have somehow managed to get this far learning as I go. I think this is my first post in this forum and I truly from the bottom of my heart appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

Since the site you referenced is not hosted here at WordPress.com, we do not have access to the site, and this forum is for those hosted here at WordPress.com.

I see you have Jetpack installed, but when I check the connection via our tool, it is showing issues with the connection, so my first suggestion is to disconnect and reconnect Jetpack.

I am also seeing a notice related to XML-RPC. Do you know if you have installed plugin to disable that feature? If not, you may want to check with your web host and see if they are blocking that connection. The XML-RPC notice I saw though could be related to the Jetpack connection though, so I would first try reconnecting. This support page will help with the reconnection.

You may want to consider moving your site from the current web host over to WordPress.com’s managed hosting on the Business or eCommerce plan. With hosting here you have 24/7 live chat and email support, and we take care of upgrades and security and provide daily full backups of your site that you can restore, should something go wrong with just a few clicks.

Migrating to WordPress.com is typically quick and painless, and there is more information on the process in this support page.

Let us know if you wish to discuss moving your site over to WordPress.com hosting. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
