Cant use my own domain bought via godaddy

  It says to wait till 2020 to use my domain to start with wordpress

  If you wanted to build a site here at WordPress.com (rather than at GoDaddy) it would have been easier to register your custom domain here too. As it is you need to wait until you’ve owned it for 60 days before you can transfer a domain to WordPress.com (or anywhere else for that matter). You can however map a new domain to a WordPress.com site straight away by purchasing a Personal plan or higher.
