Can't Verify Site with Google, have no idea what I'm doing
-
Hi, I’m completely new to this, so please treat me like I’m a four year old asking these questions.
I recently started a blog on WordPress.com. I really should have used WordPress.org instead. How to I change from WordPress.com to Worpdress.org?
The reason I want to change is that I can’t find any way to verify my site with Google. I tried under Tools, but that didn’t work, and WordPress.com has no html editor.
If I want to switch to WordPress.org, will I need to install software in my computer?
You guys really make this whole process a lot harder than it has to be. When I had a blog on blogger.com. it was way easier.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

See:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/The only Google site verification method that works for wordpress.com hosted blogs is here https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-search-console
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.
WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
What attracts search engines is unique content in posts (not pages) that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

Please note that verifying your site in order to use the webmaster tools is not necessary in order for your site to be indexed with Google, Bing, or any other search engine. WordPress.com takes care of indexing your site and of all necessary SEO for you without your having to do anything at all (other than blog)! This is just an extra step you can take if you’d like to gather some additional information on your site traffic that might be of interest to you.
Additionally here is the walkthrough to verify your site with Google.

You don’t have to install anything on your computer. Use a hosting provider.
