Can’t view photos added……

    Hi all,

    I just added a photo and added a photo to represent the blog and I can’t view them in the blog. What can it be?

    Also, what are my options for displaying photos? Is there some kind of widget I can use to display them? I would like to setup some kind of photogallery.

    On another note, I added the ‘Meta’ widget and it overwrote one of the links I previously added – was not viewable on the blog.

    Some help with these issues would be greatly appreciated. I am new by the way, if you haven’t already noticed…..LOL

    A blog avatar will be visible next to the name of the site when you browse to it, like google has a G and wordpress a W in a blue circle. Also the avatar will be visible on the main wordpress page when you made a “Hawt Post”

    You can insert a gallery in a post. Just upload all the pictures then go to the tab “Gallery” in the same screen. There’s a widget for Flickr pictures if I’m right.

    I’m not really a widget expert since my theme doesn’t support any widgets so I can’t help you with that Meta widget question

    Hi,

    This was also a major pain for me until I worked it out. I clicked on the icon to add images in the front screen where you post new messages, info etc. You then add your images to your gallery. I don;t know if this is the normal way but I managed to work out a way to do it.

    This is how I did it:

    Click on:

    “Add New Post”.
    “Upload/Insert” (picture icon).

    Up will come a window saying “Add media files from your computer”. Up the top of this there will be three options; “From Computer” “From URL” “Media Library”.

    Click on “Select Files”. Choose the images from the location they are in. Lets say your photos from your computer.

    So you click on the “Select Files” button next to “Choose files to upload”.

    There will be a bar that goes from left to right, indicating that the files are being downloaded from your computer. (No Raw files allowed, you will have to convert raw files to Jpeg first, then download.)

    Okay, so far so good.

    When that’s done, there will be another window that comes up with your image and some areas for you to fill in the description of the photo.

    Now here is the important bit: Once you’ve titled your picture with whatever you want to call it, you then click “Insert Into Post”.

    Once you’ve click “Insert Into Post”, up comes your screen again where you add a new post. You should now see your photo in the box where you write information.

    You then click “Publish” or “Save as Draft” or whatever you want to do. If you do publish, click on Preview changes and you should be able to see your entry with your photo.

    You have a great little site. I really liked the pic of the dog wagging its tail. I will definitely follow your advice.

    I linked my username to my blog as someone suggested.
