can’t write posts in ‘visual’ only html

i’d been posting on wordpress for a few months, then suddenly (after what looked like a wordpress upgrade?) my ability to write posts using the ‘visual’ editor was gone. i can write a post – but unable to save and posts it on my blog. if i tell it to save, i first get a message telling me that “if you navigate away from this page, you will lose all of your information” – and I do. Only the title of the post shows up – and nothing else.
btw – I have already gone into “Users> Your Profile>” and checked to make certain that the box allowing me to use the ‘visual’ editor is checked.
I can write and post in HTML – but I prefer “visual” – what’s wrong?? this is annoying

Have you done the cookie dance? Log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart, and reload the page. That sometimes helps.
Also, try taking the visual editor Off, save that, then turn it back on.
If that doesn’t work, report it bright and early tomorrow when Support reopens; use the Support button on your dashboard. Several other people have reported this, and we can’t find a workaround.
