Capoverso site title

  The site title of my blog is showing up squashed, and in three rows as opposed to one single line.

  It looks fine on the customise page in dashboard and fills the whole of the main column width, but on the actual published site it’s squashed and the same width as the mobile example, if that makes sense.

  Is there something I’m not doing right?

  Hi there,

  It looks fine on the customise page in dashboard and fills the whole of the main column width,

  The site title in Capoverso is designed to display in an area of no wider than 255px, so having a longer title displayed over three lines is probably what’s expected.

  When you looked at this in the Customizer, how were you able to get it displayed on one line? If you added some CSS, the reason your changes weren’t saved is that you’re currently using the trial version of the Customizer, but Custom Design isn’t yet active on your site.

  Hi there,

  I’m not sure how it was able to be in one line… I haven’t altered the CSS at all! It seems to be on one line on the main site now, too.

  So, it seems to have fixed itself?! Odd. Thanks anyway!

  OK! I’m still seeing it in a box the same size as the last time I looked, which is how the theme is designed. :-)

  So it is! That’s strange, it was definitely in one long line before. I took a screen shot just in case it was a one off!

  So, you have to pay for the custom design in order for a long title to go across the page (as it show in the customize when you are editing), instead of in three lines?

  Hi jreulbach – Capoverso is designed to display the site title within a short black box no more than 255px wide, because of this rule in the theme’s CSS:

  .site-title {
      max-width: 255px;
  }

  If you are seeing the title in any other way in the Customizer, that is not the intended disdplay. Could you provide a link to your site running Capoverso so I can take a look directly?

  My student changed the theme. She did not want to pay to customize it so that she could make the title wider.
