Caption
-
I tried to add a caption to a picture in a post, and while editing it looked like that:

Then, after I looked at the preview of the post, it looked like that:
http://dewnestry.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/glasshalfyada2.pngI know I can just use the first picture, but I prefer to use the original and add a caption.
How do I fix this? -
Hi. Captions look differently depending on themes and unfortunately, the visual editor does not always reflect every theme’s particular ways.
If another volunteer has a more elaborate explanation, please be my guest :-)

I wonder if you can re-style how a caption looks with CSS? (the border and the background color and size)
IMO captions are an incomplete project here on wp.com: one can’t even align them as needed, one can’t add a link to credit the photographer, one can’t even make a word bold, italic, or even add a color!

That’s annoying :/
I think I’ve seen a few captions like the first picture… If someone faced the same problem/knows how to correct this using CSS I’d appreciate it.
But maybe my theme just won’t allow it :/ -
@dewnestry
I’m using Firefox 5 and the caption display is normal as in the first screenshot above. That’s why I think this may be a browser issue.- You could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies – instructions for specific browsers.
- Note that when you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.
- You could try upgrading your browser. http://browsehappy.com
- You could try using another browser.
If that does not work for you please contact Staff with your details including which browser and version of it you are using and the screenshots. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

I’m using FF5.
If you looked at the post then you should have seen the picture above, because I used it – I didn’t use a caption.
Thanks anyway, though ^^ -
I did visit the blog and I do see a caption on the image in this post.

It looks like a caption, but it’s part of the picture.
I wanted to use actual caption.I know it doesn’t matter much now, but it’s more convenient for me to just use a caption, and not upload a picture with the text built in…
