caption for picture in header

  I want to put a label on the picture in my header or just below. Although I have typed a title of the picture in media section, the title or caption do not show up on homepage. How do show a caption for picture in header?

  You can’t add text on top of the header image in the theme you’re using. You should edit your image in a image editor and add the caption you want, and then upload it again as your header.
