caption under my photo attributing photo is too big

    The caption on my photo looks terrible. I have to attribute the image to where I got it: © Depositphotos.com/Monkeybusiness

    Please tell me how I can shrink the attribution on my caption for my blog titled “5 Reasons to Become Lifelong Friends with Informational Interviewing”, which is in draft right now.

    Hi Julie,

    You can use Custom CSS (included in your WordPress.com Premium plan) to change the way photo captions look on your blog.

    Right now, your theme uses the following CSS to control how the caption looks:

    .wp-caption .wp-caption-text, .entry-caption, .gallery-caption {
    color: #220e10;
    font-size: 18px;
    font-size: 1.8rem;
    font-style: italic;
    font-weight: 300;
    }

    To add your own custom CSS, go to your My Blogs page and click the Customize link under the blog’s title. In the Customizer, open the CSS section and in the CSS editor there, you can enter the following CSS to make the font size smaller:

    .wp-caption .wp-caption-text, .entry-caption, .gallery-caption {
    font-size: 14px;
    font-size: 1.4rem;
    }

    You can adjust those values until you get the font size you’d like. You could also copy and paste the entire CSS section above and adjust all the values if you’d like to change the other styles your theme has for the caption.

    If you’d like to learn more about how CSS works, we have tips for getting started here:

    And if you have CSS questions, most of our CSS support is done in the CSS Customization forum by expert staff and volunteers:

    Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
