Captions keep disappearing

  Most of my posts have one full-size picture and 1 to 9 thumbnails, grouped into three with tables. All the pictures and thumbnails have captions. Today I was editing some of these posts, and the captions on my thumbnails appear to be disappearing at random when I view the edited post. What’s going on? How can code for my site just disappear without me deleting it myself?
