Captions not displaying on images

  I need to display captions on every image I have, (they are paintings that need attribution). I’ve entered all the information in the ‘caption’ field of each image, but it’s not displaying on my site. Help!

  I’m afraid the theme you are using now, Illustratr doesn’t display captions the way you need them. We do have another portfolio theme, Sketch, that might work better for you.

  If you’d rather not switch themes, another option is to make each painting a separate project and add the attribution into to the project page. Then you could use project types and tags to organize your pages. This option is quite a bit more work than switching themes, so I’d explore switching first, but I’m happy to help you with next steps on either path.

  I’m rather demoralized at the prospect of having to redo my entire site. I don’t know how I missed the fact that it didn’t support captions. That was not made clear. Anyhow, I don’t have another choice. Thank you for your offer to help. What do I need to do to transition first.

  We may not have to resort to the switch. I took another look at your site and noticed the 2015 and 2014 galleries aren’t showing captions, but your earlier galleries are.

  If you open the 2014 project and edit the gallery so the images are at least medium sized, and choose one of the other gallery types, the captions will be displayed.

  Let me know if you need any help with that or have any more questions.
