Captions not showing up and cannot add new captions

All of a sudden today, when I pull up my WordPress site, the photo captions are showing all white.

The captions DO show up on the actual published site… I just cannot see them when I am working on the site.

I also cannot seem to add any additional photo captions.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh yes… and I wanted to mention… I have tried both Chrome and Firefox and I am having the same issue on both.

I absolutely agree. My workaround is this:
Type the caption as best you can.
    Select it.
In the dialogue box select “text color”
(I like to post them in black)
Either select one of the colors provided or go to “custom color” and move the cursor to black (which is what I do).
The caption should show up and you should be able to edit it. Be careful though: sometimes working in the selected text will return the text to white and you have to do it all over again.

All that said, we shouldn’t have to do these workarounds. My guess is that in re-doing the code to provide more options for captions, the coder inadvertently turned the caption/text color to white. This is very cumbersome and should be corrected so that the default caption/text color is black.

  • @silmedia2, the issue described here is a bug. Our developers are already working on a fix.
