Captions on Images

  In the past before wordpress broke…. erm I mean before the new “style” of image editing I could go into the visual editor, edit the image and add a caption (generally a credit to an image).

  This no longer works. I edit the image, I enter the caption, i save and the caption does not appear, nor is it part of the html code.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Note I just tried again and it worked, so this seems to be an intermittent issue.

  Trying to do this again today and no image credit, how can I escalate this to support?

  Cmon happiness engineers, I am trying not wto sweat it as it says on the main support page?

  I cannot put captions on images, its, broken, can you fix it please.

  Hi

  I couldnt see anything on there about caption changes but I tried it again and it seems to have worked (i know it didnt work a few days ago).

  These things are obviously rolled out untested, usefull features taken away, are WP deliberately trying to frustrate their users?

  4/7/2014 I have just finished doing a newsletter on my Academica theme blog and the caption tool DOES NOT WORK. How frustrating!!!!!

  please, please, please fix it.

  Glad you are working on making the image update more user friendly.

  Hi!

  I have tested inserting the caption two ways:

  1. When you initially add the image to a post.
  2. By clicking the Edit (pencil) icon on the corner of an image and adding a comment that way

  Both methods worked correctly on my side. If you’re still having trouble with this, please let me know a post on your blog where you attempted to add a caption without any luck!
