Captions on the second and subsequent photo are not saved
-
When I add photo’s to a post, the first one is OK. I can add captions and all that and that neatly displays when the post is opened in view mode. Now adding a second photo. Adding the photo itself works ok, but adding a caption is not possible. First of all the caption of the previous photo is already filled in in the caption of the second photo. Secondly, after changing this caption and pressing the update button in the dialogue, the caption is blanked out.

On your blog if I’m not mistaken the caption to the first photo is about 20 lines long.I’m not aware of a limit on the amount of caption text. However what we usually see is a caption like “My family in the Alps”. Then the full description of the trip would be in the post itself.
A caption 20 lines long could lead to some unpredictable behaviors in posts and images.
Just a thought.
Cheers!

1) Go EDIT your post
2) Click the Photo.
3) There will be two tiny buttons that will appear on the upper left corner of the photo. Click the left one.
4) Add your CAPTIONI agree with Bob, maybe you need to minimize the length of your caption. If you think you must write a long caption, may be it is not caption that you need but an additional paragraph in your blog post. Just saying :)

Thanks for your reactions, guys. The length of the caption is not the problem I described, though. And I know how to add a caption.
What happens is, that the caption of the second photo I add to a post, is not saved and remains blank. When the dialogue to enter the caption opens on the 2nd photo, it contains the caption of the photo I added as the 1st one. Overtyping it and pressing “update” will leave the caption blank
