capture email for spread sheet

Hi there, I manage a non-premium site and want to be able capture email addresses (opt-in) and send them to a a spreadsheet .CVS file. I looked at a couple of free apps, including WP Email capture, and they all need me to import the code and php files as plugins or widgets. The first step in installation of just about everything is to import the files to “wp-content/plugins” . After the installation, the rest of the process seems pretty straight forward, but i cannot figure out how to access this directory.
Or is there an html code that I can insert into the page that will give me capture?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi there,

It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs, which is where the wp-content/plugins part comes in. For additional information on the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, we have created a help article:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Unfortunately what you appear to be trying to do is not really possible here. You can have contact forms, however there is no way to export them on anything near an automated basis.
