Capturing email addresses

When a visitor visits our site, and signs up to receive automatic notification of site updates, where is his email address being captured? We want to be able to reach out to those folks. Is there a place where we can find a list of those visitors and their email addresses?

See the My Followers support page, particularly this part:
You can also select the Email option from the dropdown to see a similar list of just your email followers.

WordPress.com stats doesn’t include the email addresses of your WordPress.com member followers.
