Carnival Widget – how do I apply it to my blog?

    I am a member of the Carnival of the NBA, and I really want to support it by having the widget in my sidebar – but (I’m really, REALLY new to all of this!) I cannot get it to work.

    Can anyone walk me through this?
    This is the link to what I want to do:
    http://blogcarnival.com/bc/widget_2_demo.html

    And this is the HTML code:
    <script type=”text/javascript” language=”JavaScript1.1″><!–
    bc_width=”180″; bc_height=”475″; bc_color_text=”#666666″; bc_color_link=”#0000FF”; bc_color_bg=”#FFFFFF”; bc_id=12; bc_format=2;
    // –></script> <script type=”text/javascript” language=”JavaScript1.1″ src=”http://blogcarnival.com/bc/widget_show.js”></script>

    Thanks in anticipation

    It won’t work. Javascript is stripped out due to security concerns.

    All code where you see the word “javascript” is out, completely. It’s not possible and likely not going to be possible for years, if ever. Remembering this will save you much frustration in the future with code.

    Most carnivals have a static button/badge that you can put in your sidebar with a link to the site, so poke around and see if they have one.

    Gotcha.
    Thanks for the response guys.
