Carousel Comments Off

Where can I turn off the comments from the Carousel view, look at this post http://ledesmaphotography.wordpress.com/2013/09/01/fuji-xe1-xf27mm-x100s-look-a-like/#jp-carousel-21842 I can’t figure out how to turn the comments on this particular view. I like my post comments but not these, it separates the comments from the main post thus making it harder for reader to keep up with the post comments because all of a sudden they are tied to an image, no what I mean. Squarespace has such a view so I don’t see how this can not be done quite simply with an option in the discussion settings of the dashboard. Whoever wants the comments can turn the on the option and whoever doesn’t want it, like in my case, I can turn it off.

Look at this Squarespace blog and how nicely they’ve managed to this same thing I’m talking about http://www.laroquephoto.com/blog/2013/8/21/zootherapy-2-outside-the-frame

I love WordPress and I’m a general evangelist but this can’t be hard.

    Thanks

    Hi JL,

You can turn comments on and off in your image settings under Media > Library. Click on the image you want to edit, and then scroll down to the Discussion module for that image. You can disable comments for that image by unchecking the box next to “Allow comments.”

If you don’t see the Discussion module when you go to edit the image in your Media Library, you may need to enable that module in your screen options as described here: Screen Options

If you disable the comments for an image, the Carousel will not show a comment box for that image. I hope this helps!
