Carousel/slideshow of images

  I’m looking for a way to step through a set of images (like the gallery slideshow feature) except that I’d like the images to be displayed full width, something like 1280×863 without any border or frame.
  Also, If this capability could be added to the custom header that would be cool. I saw an example at
