Carry Over Site Stats to Self-hosted site?
-
anyway to carry over site stats to my soon-to-be self-hosted site? can it be done without activating jetPack? What happens if you activate jetpack to port the stats and then Deactivate Jetpack? Do the stats get lost? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It can be done, but it requires jetpack. It also requires that you set up your permalink structure so that it matches the structure that your posts had on WordPress.com. Otherwise the stats will not transfer correctly.

Thanks for this. One other question – how about the WordPress folks (fellow bloggers on WordPress) who “follow” my blog via a WordPress follow…how do I ensure they are still following my blog over on the self-hosted platform? On this new platform, I’ll be using an email subscription service like Mail Chimp. Do I need JetPack for this too?

WordPress.com follower migration requires Jetpack and that you follow these instructions here:
http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/
You can migrate your email followers via the same method. You can also export a CSV file of email addresses if you wish.
