Cart variant issue

For some reason, my customer cannot add multiple variant products to the cart at the same time, meaning that there can only be one variant of the variable product be visible in the car at one time. If the customer manage to add to cart another variant, the original one in the cart gets replaced by the newly added one. Can this be fixed?

Many thanks for reaching out.
You should be able to add more than one variant of the same product into a cart. Can you tell me where this is happening with which product please so that we can aim to replicate that behaviour.
Also, are you able to tell us what’s happening from click to click so that we can pin what could be happening there please.
