catagories and sub catagories

    Hello,

I have two WordPress blogs. On one the catagories list shows the parent catagories with sub catagories underneath them and indented a bit. On my other blog all the catagories (regardless of whether they’re subordinate to other catagories) are just listed alphabetically. I prefer the first method (where you can clearly see what is a sub-catagory of what) but I’m not sure how to make that happen. I’ve already gone into the ‘manage catagory’ tab to make some catagories ‘children’ of others but I’m still not seeing a change on the actual site.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

Without seeing the blogs in question, I can’t say for sure but how the categories are listed are theme dependant. Different theme designers do it different ways.

My suggestion would be use the Categories widget and make sure the ‘Show hierarchy’ box is checked. (Since I just noticed I missed it myself on one of my own sites)

    Hope this helps,

It took me *forever* to figure that one out.
