Catastrophic failure

I used a third party service to build the site. I know I have a paid account but I am unable to access it. Yesterday I did a back up then updated various recommended items. Once that completed I had a blank/white screen. I deactivated various apps and could get limited visibility of the site. I attempted to restore from my backup and lost the ability to log into the account for WordPress. The company that provided the back up service has found a fix for an app/plugin causing the issue but I can’t get back into my account.

My email is not the main email for the admin of my account.

    Help is appreciated!

  • Hi there, I don’t see anything particularly wrong with the site you listed.

What is the URL of the site with the problem?

Once we know that, we should be able to either help or direct you to the folks who can.

I’m unable to log into the account that “hosts” the site. When the backup failed to load I lost access to my admin account. I do have a help email out to my contact that built the site but, no response yet.

  • Hi,

It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
