Catch 22-FA
-
I’m posting this from my work-based account, but I’m actually writing about a completely different account. I’m locked out. I just got a new phone, so I’m signed out in the WordPress app. I tried to log into the website from my computer, and I put in the appropriate sign in information, and was told to check the app for authentication. I checked the app, but I’m signed out there. I try to sign in, and it asks for authentication. All my apps are signed out, so I’m trying to get a code sent to an SMS. However, the code never arrives. I know that the phone number is attached to the account, though, because I was able to confirm a password change using a text-message code. I feel like this is something that could easily be resolved if I could get in contact with a person, but all the contact options require being signed in–hence why I logged into my work account.

That’s when you must use one of the backup codes you got when you set up 2FA and you had to store on a safe place.
