I’ve gone to the info on creating a category page and followed all the steps through to “add menu”. The new category page shows up on the menu when I’m in the dashboard-appearance-menu page but it doesn’t actually show up on the blog. What’s the problem?

The problem is that you have not yet used the category on a blog post. When you do, it will show up.

Since I first spent several hours putting the new category on every single post I’ve ever written that I wanted to have on the page, that was not the problem. It turned out to be that they skipped a step in the instructions. After you add the category page to the menu you have to click on “manage locations” (up above on the menu page) and actually choose the menu it’s been using all along in order for the page to register. It’s up now, after I kept clicking on everything I could find until I figured that out. Thanks for offering help.
