I really need help with categories….. I have set up two I believe. “Our Travels” and “Truckstop Reviews”……I thought categories worked the same with main title and sub title’s underneath. Is that not the case? I can’t figure out how to link each of the pages under the correct category….if that’s how it works. That’s is the way I understood it, lol. I thought the two categories I created would be on the right side of the static page with drop down option and would show all linked pages under each category. Then across top of the page…..it would still show “Blog”, “Over-The-Road-Tips”, (and the cars, which is the main page). Also….in the plane theme, is there a way to change the header pic on each page/category?

Not quite. Here is how Categories will appear on your Plane-themed site:
https://planedemo.wordpress.com/category/books/You will have your Category title at the top of the page, then all the blog posts you’ve assigned to that Category will appear below.

Posts can be Categorized. Pages cannot. So, if you want content to appear on a Category page, it should be in Post format.

What can appear, if you have the Category Widget installed, is a list of your Categories. This won’t be a list of pages.
Also….in the plane theme, is there a way to change the header pic on each page/category?
In this theme, you cannot assign header images, but you can add several images, and they will be randomly loaded everytime a visitor moves to a new page.

Darn…..I spent so much time looking at themes…..and it appears as though I did not select well for what I am hoping for my page. Can you advise me of what themes that allow you to use different headers on each page? I am already signed up for premium account and hoping to find a theme that is no additional charge.

Hey there!
The Premium upgrade will work no matter which theme you choose. So, not problems with usability there.
For themes with Featured Headers, I’ve done a search for you:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/featured-image-header/It appears as if you switched to Hemmingway Rewritten, which you can assign Featured Images. These images will act as your header images in your pages.
Featured Images are 1280 by 416px as header images on single posts and pages.
