    I would like to rename the category ‘Uncategorized’, however all of the tutorials seem to be dated. I cannot pull up the ‘Categories’ window because it doesn’t seem to exist. How can I change the name?

    Hello creatovecat0!

    You can manage and edit your categories by going to Dashboard>Posts>Categories.
    Here’s the direct URL to access the page: https://thecreativecatblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category (you need to be logged in with your account details to see this page).

    Hover any of your categories to see the Edit, Quick Edit, Delete and View options.

    In case you don’t want to edit your Uncategorized category anymore, you can also decide to change the default post category (which is normally ‘Uncategorized’) by going to Dashboard>Settings>Writing and edit the category on ‘Default Post Category’ (the second entry).
