  Is there ANY way to get rid of “categories”? I don’t find any use for them at all and want to get rid of the “uncategorized” link that sits at the top of my page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can renamethe “uncategorizzed” default category to any name you choose. If you have the CSS upgrade and the skills to go with it you can try deleting categories but this only works on a couple of themes. On the vast majority doing that will also eliminate all other metadata like date and author, etc. if you don’t have the CSS upgrade then you can simply not choose to use either categories and tags. that will mean you are playing hide and seek with search engines and it will negatively affect your blog’s ability to attract readers.

  Thanks! I think I found a theme that doesn’t place the categories up on top. That just really bugged me for some reason.

  I renamed my category with a single period – in other words .
  It barely shows at all and in any case it’s neat.
