Categories
-
I have added a new category on one of my pages on my blog. Although I clicked apply, it still didn’t take and does not appear when I read my blog. However, in categories in the dashboard, it appears there.
Also, in the dashboard I made several categories that I previously created roll up to this new category I created. Once again, none of these changes I made appear in my category box on my blog’s homepage. Its as if I made no changes at all.
Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. What’s the name of the category? If my memory serves me right, categories that contain 0 posts will not show up in the Categories widget until you actually assign at least one post to it.

Categories will only appear in the categories widget after they have been assigned to at least one published post. Otherwise when someone clicked on one of those category names, there would be nothing to show them. It would be like offering them a drink of water and then handing them an empty glass.

Okay understood. Thank you. Now since I have the 1st part of that rectified where the category is showing in my category box, I still have a problem with the subcategories.
Although I made my previous categories roll up that new category I just create- as the “parent category”, why isn’t that reflected in my category window from the homepage? In other words, I would like to condense these categories as subcategories, and have them appear that way to the reader of my blog. Instead, they only appear this way in the dashboard. What am I doing wrong or not doing?
