  how do i add sub categories right under the parent categories

  Hi,

  Do you mean in a custom menu? If so, you add subcategory items as described in the Add Menu Items section of the Custom Menus support page, and then move them under other items as described and illustrated in the Reorder Menu Items & Add Drop-Down Menus section.
