Categories and archive certian posts

  Hi. I posted this question yesterday, but I can’t find it now! First off, is there a way to search for your own posts, I hate to think someone already answered this question and I just can’t find it!

  I would like to be able to write certain posts and for them to be dropped into a certain category without them being seen on the first page. To talk in email terms.. I would like the first page to be like the inbox where I keep some posts. However, I would like my email to have a filter so that some posts automatically bypass the inbox and end up in folder. Cam someone help me with this? Thank you!
