Categories and Descriptions

Something seems to freeze up whenever I either attempt to move a category under a parent category or add a category description. I’ve been able to move a few before and give them descriptions and it’s done right away, but there are a few more I still need to do. I’ve tried to make the changes on two different computers. I’ve tried waiting it out in case it was just slow but I’d come back after a few hours to find no progress. I just tried clearing my browser cache and running some updates but no avail. Chrome is my default browser but Microsoft Edge is doing the same thing.
Is there some kind of odd limit I’ve maxed out? Or is/has this been a problem for anyone else?

What I’d like to do is try and replicate your steps on my end. Please outline for me, step by step, what categories you’re working on and the description that you’d like to add. If you can send a link to the page you’re working on from your browser bar that too would be great.

I am trying to make the following additions or changes:
I would like the Books and Games categories under the Pop Culture parent category.
I would like the School category under the Lifestyle parent category.
As the description for the Shopping category, I would like: Whether saving or splurging, these are sure to be worth your dough!
As the description for the School category, I would like: Don’t loaf around with your education or you’ll be toast! These topics should help you be successful and make more of your academic life!
As the description for the Tech category, I would like: The coolest things since sliced bread and toasters!
I’ll try the other troubleshooting recommendations as I get the chance if need be. I manage Toast Pop alongside a full-time job and family life, both of which have been busier lately. Thanks for the help!

At the moment, I’m unable to replicate this experience while testing. You mentioned you’ve been able to do this before. Are you able to recall the last time this worked as expected for you?

Hi there,
Chrome is my default browser but Microsoft Edge is doing the same thing.
You would not normally be aware of this, but Microsoft Edge is based on the same Chromium engine that Google Chrome uses. So they can behave very similarly even though they are two different browsers.
Are you able to install Firefox as an alternate and try in that browser instead? We’ve had trouble replicating this issue in our testing so we’re hoping that may offer a clue on where we need to look.
Also, as a second test, are you able to have the site owner elevate your status from Editor to Adminstrator instead? If your role on the site is upgraded to admin are you able to reorganize these categories as normal?
