Don’t worry: if it’s universal to all using Sandbox I will make it so miserable to the WP techies that they’ll fix it before dawn. Trust me: I’m a bitch!

I’m having the same issue with the single letter “a”, using Misty Look. Looking forward to a fix…

just adding my voice here…

Ditto tudobeleza’s comment. Been fighting this battle for the past two days. Categories disappears, I replace it, it disappears.
-
Same thing here. Everytime I log out, the category widget title changes to “a” and doesn’t show any categories. No matter how many times I go in and change it, it always reverts back. Finally, I just deleted the widget. Any suggestions will be appreciated :)

I actually like the drop down – didn’t even know I had it until is showed up. If I could just change “A” to “Categories”, without it changing back on its own, of course. I’d be happy. It cleans up my sidebar considerably!
Of course, this problem may be indicative of a larger problem, and by all means, fix everything if you’re going to fix something.

The category-hierarchy widget on both my blogs just disappeared.
I recreated it on one, this still works. But on the other blog I’m just waiting to see what WordPress is doing about this problem. -
For future reference, when something weird like this happens at lots of wp.com blogs, it’s probably not a good use of time to try to fix it at your blog. I expect a system-wide fix soon, or, at the very least, an announcement of what went wrong and here’s what each blogger has to do to fix it.
