Missing Widgets
-
I don’t want to temporarily remove the category widget as it is a vital part of the side bar but it looks really unprofessional with the random a and the drop down menu. I would love an update from WordPress about when this is going to be fixed.

I just logged in now and the same thing happened again like it did several times yesterday. The drop-down category widget vanished from the main page and the dashboard. I just added it back on again now.

I’m seeing the same issue – Category title keeps changing to “a” even when I go into the widget and re-name it and save it. snerkology.wordpress.com

I’d also appreciate an update. If it’s a tricky problem then I can understand that it’s taking longer to fix than usual, but when it comes to bugs affecting ALL WordPress.com users I’m accustomed to more updates on progress from WordPress staff than one forum comment in 48 hours or so!

This happened to me yesterday, but after I fixed it a few times (around 3-4) it’s fine. It’s still fine now. :)
-
Hopefully I’m not saying this prematurely…I think it’s fixed for us. We haven’t had to touch it yet today. :)

It didn’t default back to the correct settings when it was fixed, but once you go in and “fix” it again it should stay put.

Hasn’t occured again since about 12h ago.
Membracid, have you changed it to what it used to be in the last 12h at all?

If it helps staff any, I experienced the same issue as everyone else but after a manual reset (to my original settings) I have had no issues.

Widgets on my blog http://www.minneafrica.wordpress.com have moved and appear under the posts instead of on the side (as in second column is below first column!) have emailed but not gotten a response. Please help!
