Humm I change the theme and all my widgets are good. So my trouble is that i want to quit some widgets but its hard. So if someone tell me how quit a widget….

Delete it? Click onto widgets in apperance, click the widget you want to delete and at the bottom of it, it says ‘Remove’ click it
Has that helped?

Hi again!
As you all may or may not know, the text widget accepts html coding, since I lost all my “not customizable widgets” such as “blogroll”, “Most viewed posts”, etc when I changed themes, I decided to use a more painful way of at least re-inserting “blogroll”.
1. Create a text Widget
2. Give it whatever title you like for “Links”
3. For each URL you’d like to link to your page add the following html tagfor the URL make sure you have the complete one ie…”http=//…blah…blah…”
the
tag is to make sure each link occupies one line, if you don’t add it, all your links will look like one unbroken line…rather unsightly…The downside of this approach is the pain of adding each link manually
The upside is that no matter what happens to your text widget, as long as you keep a copy of this somewhere in your computer, you can always paste it back to a new text widget… I keep all my stuff stored in notepad as a .txtI hope this helps…

oops I forgot to commment out my example:
<a href="URL you want to link to">Name of your link</a><br /> -
Is there any ETA on getting the widgets fixed? I still can’t add any new ones, and I had to find a new theme that allowed at least some of my widgets to appear. But my Widgets pages still says I’m using 0, so I can’t add, move, or delete any.

Situation looks hopeless. I’ve lost all mine and all I did was to move the order in my sidebar! This is just too much! Seems so amateurish, doesn’t it?

Can we get some information on when the widget issue will be resolved? This has been going on for weeks.
-
I did resolve mine. I had placed something in a widget that apparently is too big. i.e. It spread out over the sides. This then had the effect that it threw all the other widgets out, and they appeared at the foot of my blog in a right old jumbled heap.
I removed the offending widget and all seems to be OK now. Don’t know if this helps. -
I changed themes last night and added a couple of widgets. The widgets that *were* there do not show as options on the list to be added and are not showing on the blog itself. I changed back to the old theme to be sure it wasn’t a theme issue since I knew the widgets worked with the first thing. They were still gone. There is no add button. There is no remove or edit. They’re just gone.
I can see how the temporary fix for links/blog roll would work, but I did like having the other items there (search, recent comments, stats, etc.).
Has this already been addressed and I missed it?
