Categories for Blogs

Is it possible for wordpress to add Categories for every blogs to choose from? Say, Personal, Arts, Computer, Photos, Adults, Pets, etc. If you may look at the Dashboard right now under Fast Growing Blogs, I spotted one blog called “Temple Of Nudes” with extremely adult oriented photos.
Just a suggestion.

For all new bloggers at wordpress.com please take note that we all have “report as mature” button under Blog Info on the right hand side of our blue admin bar.

And yes I did that. What I mean is, since we already have “choice of language”, how about a Blog categories?

I’m in agreement with you. I asked about this before during the great pornography debate. I believe I was told that there are tags for adult and mature blogs. I was also told that most people displaying this type of “material” don’t voluntarily declare their blog’s mature content. http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=3131&replies=63#post-19829Perhaps Podz or another staff member could clarify this for us.

i’m new to blogging and this is probably an obvious question. much of what i write as well as pics and links will be intended for grownups. is that a problem? do i need to list my blog as adult or mature ahead of time? -
You add in your own categories. Adding them ahead of time would just lead to confusion. (“But I don’t want to blog about Computers…”)

Probably not as long as you stay away adverts. Please remember that the TOS prohibits these currently.
